Job Description: Desktop 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing desktop support, managing network cabling systems, and ensuring smooth operations across various technical infrastructures.

 

Desktop Job Responsibilities:

 

Desktop Support:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications.
  • Set up and maintain user accounts and permissions.
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide timely resolutions to technical issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance of desktop systems.
  • Assist with the procurement and inventory management of desktop equipment and software.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of support activities and resolutions.

 

Key Responsibilities for Desktop Support Engineer:

  • Diagnoses and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktop systems.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
  • Collaborate with users to identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on the proper use of desktop systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of IT projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to desktop systems.
  • Continuously improve desktop support processes and procedures.

 

Cable Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair cable TV and internet systems.
  • Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication.
  •  

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1+ years of professional technician experience and desktop support.
  • Familiarity with industry tools and equipment used for cabling and desktop support.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work at tall heights and lift 50+ pounds.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications.
  • Familiarity with hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.

 

Job Environment: This role requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. The Desktop  Support Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with other IT teams and providing direct support to end-users.

 

Please note that this position requires working every other weekend.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
