Job Summary:
We’re looking for a detail‑driven, creativity‑powered Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our Centrifuge Program team. In this role, you’ll transform innovative engineering concepts into precise, manufacturable designs that drive real-world results. You’ll partner closely with a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop 2D and 3D models that support next‑generation centrifuge components, assemblies, machines, and facility expansion projects.
If you love solving mechanical challenges, enjoy collaborative engineering, and want your work to directly shape advanced industrial systems, this is an opportunity to grow—and to matter.
In this role, you’ll take engineering concepts and bring them to life by developing precise 2D drawings and 3D models in Creo. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers throughout the design process—participating in reviews, incorporating feedback, and ensuring every detail meets the highest standards for accuracy and manufacturability. You’ll prepare complete fabrication and assembly documentation, uphold drawing and safety standards, and work hand‑in‑hand with teams across manufacturing, quality, procurement, and operations to solve design challenges and keep projects moving forward.
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
• Associate degree in engineering technology or a related field
• Proficiency in Creo
• Solid understanding of GD&T, fabrication methods, and mechanical assembly practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative engineering environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance (active Q or DoD TS is a plus)
A Successful Candidate Also Brings:
• Experience with structural or dynamic mechanical systems
• Background supporting equipment design in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Familiarity with configuration control and revision management
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.
