The Role:

We are looking for a VP of Product Design who will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our design initiatives at Podium. You will lead the product design function at Podium, working closely with engineering and product teams to create intuitive, high-impact product solutions that drive business outcomes and enhance user value. Additionally, you will oversee brand/creative initiatives to ensure cohesion across all customer touchpoints.

Reporting into the Chief Product and Marketing Officer, you will partner closely with other executives like the Chief Technical Officer, SVPs of Marketing and Engineering, and with cross functional teams including engineering, product, marketing and sales to craft compelling design strategies, identify user pain points, and scale Podium’s design practice.

What you will be doing:

• Build, manage, and mentor high-performing Product Design and Brand/Creative teams at Podium, collaborating closely with marketing and other partners to ensure brand alignment while maintaining a primary focus on product outcomes and user impact.
• Shape and drive the vision for user-centric product design and experience at Podium, ensuring that design decisions are rooted in solving user pain points and enhancing product functionality.
• Partner with product and engineering, and other cross-functional partners to deliver exceptional user experiences that drive impact for Podium users.
• Oversee the Product Design team in creating end-to-end user experiences that drive impact and results. While the primary focus will be on the product side, you will also oversee brand-related design efforts to ensure consistency across user touchpoints.
• Partner closely with marketing to drive a high impact creative roadmap. Continuously refine strategy based on performance results, customer insights, and business needs.
• Partner with senior leadership to shape the product vision and ensure alignment with Podium's strategic goals, driving company-wide design definition, specification and collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Lead, grow, and inspire a high-performing team of designers, design leaders and creative professionals who are focused on the end-to-end Podium experience across our different segments of users, towards cohesion and successful results.
• Foster an AI mindset to establish processes and tools to scale quickly, streamline design workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure high-quality delivery as the team and product offerings grow.

What you should have:

• Significant experience (8+ years) leading and managing design for Saas software platforms in dynamic, fast-paced startup environments.
• Experience leading and collaborating with diverse, distributed teams in a dynamic culture with rapid growth.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and brainstorming skills – with ability to navigate and thrive in ambiguity.
• Passion for building scalable solutions and services, working with (and simplifying) sophisticated design systems that span multiple products.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to balance creativity with data-driven decision-making.
• Proven experience working on a cross-functional leadership team where you deeply collaborated with engineering, product, and data teams to plan and implement team roadmaps.
• Ability to roll up your sleeves, contribute directly when needed, and maintain exceptional design craft skills to set the standard for the team. 
• Customer-first mindset.
• MUST be located or willing to relocate to work onsite in our Lehi, Utah Monday-Friday.
