As a Senior Product Designer reporting to the VP of Product Design, you will be responsible for leading the user experience for several product initiatives as part of the People.ai application suite by driving the entire design cycle from user research, to interaction and visual design, to analyzing user behavior, to iterating toward wide-spread product adoption. You will leverage B2B product design expertise, a customer centric point of view, and strong understanding of product usage analytics to help deliver the People.ai product roadmap. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the user research and experience design for a product initiative from end-to-end. Spend time talking to end users, customer success managers, sales team, and prospects to build empathy and understanding for the “jobs to be done” in the product.
  • Design and iterate toward strong product market fit in partnership with product and engineering as measured by hitting delivery timelines and user engagement measured by annual traffic goals for WAU and user retention. 
  • Leverage data usage tools to discover UX improvements based on monitoring user engagement for trends that improve adoption, simplify onboarding and drive engagement.
  • Partner with other departments within the company on cross-functional projects to help advance design thinking and advocate for the design team and its principles. Maintain alignment with product and engineering throughout the iteration process while ensuring that the initiative adhered to the team’s core design principles. 
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the People.ai design system. Identify and pursue opportunities to further integrate People.ai's product offerings to reduce friction within user workflows.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of design roles for B2B SaaS companies with widely used and loved products. The ideal candidate should have designed products to support direct sales and product led growth go-to-market motions. Able to quickly iterate throughout the design process by leveraging tools and processes including wireframes, interaction flows, storyboards, task flows, etc.
  • Demonstrated the ability to understand how to simplify customer journeys and product flows with the user experience in mind. Understands how to design products for multiple personas such as economic buyers, operators/admins, and end user personas.
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge and command product analytics and how to use data to influence design thinking and decision making.
  • Capable of storytelling in order to clearly articulate design decisions to various audiences and stakeholders.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects at the same time with different stakeholders and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects in partnership with cross functional teams.
  • At least 5-7 years of product design experience.

A reasonable estimate of on-target earnings (OTE) is $140,000 to $180,000. Additionally, regular employees may be eligible for commissions or bonus programs (target included in OTE), equity, and benefits. The range is subject to change. People.ai takes into wide range of factors when determining an individual’s pay. These factors can include, skill set, training and experience, licensure and certifications, and location and metropolitan area.
