What you’ll do:

The Design Operations Lead drives the effectiveness and scalability of the design organization by connecting people, processes, tools, and culture. The role enables multidisciplinary design teams to work efficiently, collaborate effectively, and deliver high-quality outcomes across complex product portfolios. The role combines operational leadership with a strong understanding of design practice, ensuring that design capabilities, processes, and ways of working continuously evolve to meet the needs of the business. It requires the ability to understand design both from an organizational perspective and through direct experience delivering and leading design work.

In detail, you will:

- Define and continuously improve design processes, frameworks, tools, and ways of working.

- Support design leaders in building effective, scalable, and high-performing teams.

- Optimize team capacity, resource allocation, priorities, and project portfolios across design activities.

- Enable effective collaboration and integration across Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, CMF, UX/UI, and other design disciplines.

- Lead and develop design capabilities, fostering strong creative practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.

- Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that improve design effectiveness, quality, and organizational efficiency.

- Champion new technologies, AI, and emerging tools that can enhance creativity, productivity, collaboration, and design quality.

- Establish standards, best practices, and governance that improve consistency and efficiency without limiting creativity.

- Partner with stakeholders, and functions to integrate design effectively throughout the product development process.

- Lead a discipline and a team of creative designers, ensuring the discipline is effectively integrated into the broader product development and design process.

As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).

Who you are:

- You have a degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant design or engineer

- Experience in design, design management, or design operations, preferably within physical product organizations.

- Broad understanding of Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, CMF, UX/UI, and related design disciplines.

- Demonstrated experience leading design teams, developing creative capabilities, and delivering design outcomes.

- Strong understanding of design processes and how different design disciplines contribute to the end-to-end product development.

- Experience managing complex projects and working across multidisciplinary teams and functions.

- Strong understanding of team capacity, resource planning, prioritization, and organizational workflows.

- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, introduce new ways of working, and drive organizational change.

- Curiosity and passion for emerging technologies, AI, and new design tools, with the ability to identify and champion opportunities for meaningful application.

- Advanced English.

You will be based at the Guabirotuba plant in Curitiba. One of the focal points for all Latin American Electrolux operations, this plant is the base for over 3200 collaborators, all focused on transforming the way the world lives by shaping lives for the better with their work.
