Job Description:
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Client Engagement Manager to lead strategic engagement with Global OEMs across the Bangalore territory. This role will focus on driving OEM-led design wins and expanding technical partnerships with multinational customers operating in Automotive, Defence, Datacenter, and related high-growth industries.
The Bangalore region represents a significant opportunity, including approximately 30 global accounts, more than 25,000 hardware engineers, and over 1,000 system architects. The role will be instrumental in accelerating the growth initiatives from India-based global OEMs and global Tier-1 organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive technical engagement and business development activities with Global OEMs and Tier-1 customers in the Bangalore territory.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with the engineering teams, system architects, R&D leaders, and decision-makers across multinational organisations.
- Identify, influence, and secure OEM-led design wins aligned with India growth objectives.
- Develop account strategies to expand funnel opportunities and increase market penetration across Automotive, Defense, Datacenter, and Industrial segments.
- Collaborate closely with Microchip internal teams - Business Unit Marketing, Applications Engineering, Global Account Managers and Ecosystem partners to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Own and grow a strong business funnel, with a long-term serviceable available market (SAM) opportunity of approximately $250M.
- Support customers through architecture discussions, solution positioning, technical workshops, and design-in activities.
- Track market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging customer requirements to influence go-to-market strategy.
- Represent the organization at customer meetings, industry events, and technical engagements
Requirements/Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience working with Global OEMs, semiconductor companies, embedded systems, or enterprise technology organisations.
- Strong understanding of hardware platforms, system architecture, and product development lifecycles.
- Experience managing strategic accounts and driving complex technical client engagements.
- Knowledge of one or more domains including automotive electronics, EV systems, defence technologies, datacentrer infrastructure, or high-performance computing.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional and global teams..
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience engaging with India design centres of multinational Tier-1 organisations.
- Familiarity with semiconductor ecosystems, embedded systems, embedded computing, AI/accelerated computing, or next-generation platform technologies.
- Track record of delivering measurable design wins and revenue growth in strategic territories.
