Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop 3D components, assemblies and 2D drawings using Creo for manufacturing
- Participate in design reviews and implement feedback effectively
- Develop BOMs in windchill and design documentation
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost optimization
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and internal design practices
- contribute to continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives
Must have competencies:
- Able to design sheet metal assemblies in alignment of industrial designs
- Proficiency in Creo (mandatory) for 3D modelling, assemblies, and detailing
- Good analytical and mechanical design skills
- Good understanding of fits, tolerances and GD&T concepts and their application in engineering drawings
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Good to have competencies:
- Experience or exposure to pump design / rotating equipment
- Understanding of electric motor
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes specially sheet metal
- Awareness of industry standards
- Exposure to design validation and testing processes
- Ability to Python-based design automation and optimization tools will be an added advantage
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Creo (part modelling, assemblies, drawing)
- Experience in sheet metal modules within CAD tools
- Familiarity with MS Excel for engineering calculations and data handling
- Familiarity with windchill
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering
Experience:
- 2-4 Years
