- Utilize AutoCAD to produce high-quality 2D drafts including lines, polylines, hatches, and annotations.
- Efficiently manage and organize drawing files in both model space and paper space.
- Apply knowledge of coordinates and coordinate systems in drafting projects.
- Georeference backgrounds (PDF, JPG, etc.) within AutoCAD for accurate placement in the design.
- Create and modify TIN surfaces, DEM surfaces, and TIN volume surfaces.
- Apply surface styles and configure surfaces according to project specifications.
- Develop and modify alignments and profiles for civil engineering projects.
- Work with subassemblies to design and modify corridors.
- Create surfaces from corridors and apply to further modeling.
- Use sample lines and sections for corridor analysis and design adjustments.
- Transition typical cross-sections into fully 3D modeled designs.
- Work with sites and feature lines to develop grading plans.
- Manage grading groups and create surfaces from grading data.
- Perform volume calculations for cut and fill analysis and material estimation.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Inventor in an engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly in grading, surface modeling, and volume calculations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for design tasks requiring 3D modeling and engineering drawing creation.
- Work with various coordinate systems and settings within Civil 3D for optimal project execution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take ownership of individual tasks.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in all work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
- Good command of the English language (both written and spoken).
- Additional certification in Civil Engineering or related software tools is a plus.
