Design Engineer II (Electric Distrubition)

We're seeking a Design Engineer II to support electric utility distribution projects by designing reliable overhead and underground distribution systems and assisting with major utility upgrades. Location Requirement: Candidates must be located in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut.

What You’ll Do:

• Apply technical expertise to develop engineering designs that meet project specifications, codes, and industry standards.

• Collaborate with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages, calculations, and drawings.

• Support the preparation of simple to moderately complex designs and contribute to larger, more complex projects.

• Lead discipline-specific design efforts on simple projects and assist with technical analyses on complex work.

• Utilize CAD and engineering analysis software to support project deliverables.

• Communicate scope, cost, schedule, and quality challenges to team leads and project managers.

• Interact with clients on a limited basis and ensure clear, professional communication.

• Conduct self-reviews and participate in peer and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy.

• Support fielding activities and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering at ABET accredited university
• 1-2 years of electrical distribution design experience 
• Preferred software knowledge includes GIS, pole modeling tools (O-Calc, PoleForeman, Katapult), AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet.
• Client Facing Experience / construction support.
