Do you want to help develop the next generation of handheld products while also improving existing ones? We are strengthening Husqvarna Groups design department and are now looking for a Design Engineer to join our team.
 

About the Role

  • Develop mechanical components and subsystems with a focus on plastic and light metal constructions.
  • Work with product maintenance: drive cost and quality improvements for existing products.
  • Coordinate tasks and collaborate closely with internal departments, global suppliers, and manufacturing units.
  • Ensure technical documentation and lead the work from start to finish.
  • Utilize our central resources such as the material lab, verification lab, prototype workshop, and CAE department – a unique environment for those who want to grow within mechanical design.

About You

As a Design Engineer, you will be a key player throughout the entire product lifecycle – from concept phase to improvements of products in production. You will be responsible for detailed designs and subsystems, driving the work forward with a focus on both new solutions and optimization of existing products.

Your skills and background:

  • A Master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical product development.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

  • A strong team player who enjoys collaboration and inspires colleagues.

Location
This position is based in Huskvarna, Sweden. We offer a hybrid work setup where you can work both onsite and remotely, promoting work-life balance for all team members. We meet in the office at least 2–3 days a week (50%).
