Our Design and Technology Enablement teams are working on the development of a broad portfolio of semiconductor technologies ranging from 350 nm down to 12nm including FD-SOI, RF, High-Voltage and automotive applications.

Introduction

This position as a key member of the “Boolean” team will primarily be responsible for development, testing, and release of discriminating specification & algorithms to robustly enable the technology device suite through proper translation of design shapes for mask tapeout flow.

  • Develop design manual (DM) specifications for publication to both internal and external customers.
  • Design manual engineering (DME) developing design manual specifications for publication to both internal and external customers, outlining design rules what can be drawn or not on the customer IP.
  • Enable PDK package which goes to the customers through design manual development.
  • Involves DM design rule development, mask generation Boolean, and ground rule validation skills
  •  Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  • Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Works with internal design enablement, process integration, unit process module, OPC, and tapeout teams to define and develop device truth table, mask generation rules/algorithms required for DRC/LVS/reticle procurement by advanced technologies
  • Creates and maintains specification documentation while ensuring rigorous change process procedures are adhered to
  • Validates mask generation solution, creating test suites as necessary, and providing guidance/approval for mask release
  • Actively participates in interlocking activities with other organizations to ensure successful tapeout.
  • Develop and maintain productivity enhancements via automation code/scripting and related standardized format and data structure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of electronic devices and semiconductor theory.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English – both written and verbal.
  • Good attitude and interpersonal skills, tactful and works well in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and shows initiative.
  • Well organized and exhibits attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with Unix/Linux and electronic CAD systems is also a plus.
