Onsite – Buffalo, NYTo be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: 
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.  Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 0-3 years of experience required.
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles and design principles.
  • Good communications skills which include the ability to present and convey technical concepts both verbally and in writing.
  • Exposure to a mechanical CAD (MCAD) tools with a working knowledge. 
  • Experience with Siemens NX MCAD design software and Teamcenter PLM is preferred.
  • Exposure and familiarity with analytical software tools  including but not limited to “stress analysis”  and mathematical computation tools such as Matlab/Simulink, ANSYS etc.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
As a Design Development Engineer, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for: 
  • Understanding and translating project requirements emanating from a variety of sources, creating computer models, layouts, detailed engineering drawings. 
  • Contributing to a cost-effective design and functional products by working closely with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. 
  • Creating and checking detail drawings for completeness and accuracy, ensures the Bill of Material (Parts List) for product design is accurate and complete. 
  • In conjunction with Engineering, ensures basic integrity of designs and layouts using correctness of proportionality, sizing, dimensional accuracy, tolerance limits, and conforming to Moog’s use of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) application practices. 
  • Suggesting or specifying materials to conform to design requirements and assist in the selection of acceptable processing procedures.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $70,000.00–$95,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Skills Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 0-3 years of engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of engineering and design principles

  • Exposure to mechanical CAD (MCAD) tools
