About the opportunity 

The Design and Presentation Specialist is a highly skilled and trusted member of the Delivery and Enablement team within the Education and Students Portfolio. They are responsible for engaging with stakeholders to create visually engaging and compelling presentations, reports and related materials that effectively communicates complex information across the remit of accountabilities in the Education and Students Portfolio.  

Bring ideas to life through compelling visual storytelling that enhances the student portfolio and elevates the university experience. From high-profile Town Halls to flagship events such as the Student Experience Forum, you'll create impactful design that informs, inspires and connects our community. 

Your key responsibilities will be to: 

  • collaborate across the portfolio to generate compelling and engaging presentations, reports and communication materials 

  • manage stakeholder and audience engagement and enhance content, to maximise engagement and communication 

  • translate and synthesise complex ideas and data into visually appealing, graphically supported content for use in presentations and other mediums 

  • promote visual storytelling with impact, through the design and development of compelling presentations for communication with the portfolio, including with senior audiences 

  • design and develop the internal Education & Students portfolio newsletters 

  • manage template development and use the latest creative techniques to captivate and engage audiences, ensuring on-brand effective communication 

  • source and produce short content pieces (such as written articles, videos, Viva Engage posts) to promote and enhance staff engagement 

 

About you 

  • tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or the equivalent industry experience 

  • high level skills in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, AEM (Adobe Enterprise Management) and other content related applications such as CMS, Slido, SharePoint Emma HQ. . 

  • demonstrated ability to tailor content for different audiences and different channels, including creation of online and multimedia content and development of presentation materials 

  • strong experience in working with creative brand guidelines within the university sector or a similarly large, complex organisation 

  • demonstrated storytelling, high-level analytical, visualisation and problem-solving skills and capacity to meet deadlines 

  • accuracy, attention to detail and highly developed organisational, planning, analytical and communication skills together with the ability to work to deadlines and manage competing demands 

  • demonstrated experience in creating, editing and transforming presentations and rendering of data, including visualisation 

  • demonstrated experience in preparing persuasive communications, presentations, and reports for stakeholders 

  • experience in researching and producing high level management reports and presentations using a variety of media and tools. 

 

Work Rights 

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
