  • Educate and guide internal teams on contract templates, legal workflows, and regulatory compliance best practices.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including commercial, marketing, employment-related, confidentiality, and other operational agreements.
  • Advise executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on legal risks and strategic considerations relevant to a high-growth company.
  • Oversee subsidiary management activities, including entity formation, governance, and intercompany agreements.
  • Support the development and execution of internal compliance programs, including insider trading, code of conduct, whistleblower, and SOX-related controls.
Requirements
  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active, current license to practice law in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, including at least 5 years as in-house counsel—ideally in tech, SaaS, or digital advertising sectors; IAPP or similar privacy certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS, vendor, marketing, employment-related, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Practical experience with global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), including building or managing compliance programs.
  • Experience supporting or managing regulatory inquiries related to data privacy or information security.
  • Familiarity with corporate compliance programs, including policy development, codes of conduct, and employee training.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts in clear, business-oriented terms.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of building trusted partnerships across Legal, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and People Operations.
