Have you struggled to reserve that coveted summer camping spot at a state park? Wondered why you’re still filling out a paper form at the DMV? Or tried (and failed) to book your favorite pickleball court from your phone?
Kaizen Labs is rebuilding the government’s digital front door - bringing modern, people-first software to the public services millions of Americans rely on every day. From parks & recreation and permitting to licensing and payments, we’re replacing outdated systems with intuitive, beautiful technology designed for residents and the public servants who serve them.
Our platform now powers over 50 agencies across 17 states, reaching more than 30 million residents. Recent partners include Maricopa County (AZ), San Bernardino County (CA), and the Cherokee Nation. In Maryland, our platform helped eliminate seven-mile traffic jams at state parks, saving hundreds of thousands in costs and dramatically improving the visitor experience.
Founded in 2022 and based in New York City, Kaizen has raised $35 million from world-class investors, including NEA, Andreessen Horowitz, Accel, 776, and Carpenter Capital.
We’re a team of builders, designers, and operators redefining what it means to serve the public in the digital age - and we’re just getting started.
LocationThis is a hybrid role based out of our New York City HQ. Candidates must reside in New York or be able to commute to New York City to work out of our office at least three times a week (Tuesdays - Thursdays).
The RoleWe’re looking for a Product-Led Deployment Strategist to serve as the connective tissue between our customers and our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) org. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive complex customer launches, shape product direction through frontline insights, and help scale mission-critical implementations across the country.
This role sits at the intersection of implementation, product, and strategy. You’ll operate with autonomy, build trusted relationships with customers, and collaborate across teams to deliver outcomes that matter for public institutions. It's a great fit for someone who wants to stay close to both user impact and technical execution.
Who You AreYou’ve led complex software deployments in ambiguous environments, rolling up your sleeves to both define the direction and do the work.
You’re equally comfortable mapping a technical workflow as you are translating it for a non-technical stakeholder.
You think in systems - not just about how software gets shipped, but how it’s adopted, scaled, and improved over time.
You bring structure to chaos and are energized by problem-solving in fast-moving contexts.
You care deeply about public institutions and believe technology can help them serve communities more effectively.
Run high-stakes deployments: Own end-to-end delivery of complex customer launches—from scoping and configuration to go-lives and ongoing success.
Translate the voice of the user: Surface real-world insights from customers and turn them into structured feedback for the EPD team.
Unblock and align teams: Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and sales to troubleshoot issues, resolve ambiguity, and move work forward.
Act with urgency and empathy: Whether it’s debugging a data sync or crafting a training deck, you’ll do what it takes to support customers.
Build for scale: Contribute to implementation playbooks, internal tooling, and documentation to make our deployments more repeatable and effective.
Advise with credibility: Serve as a trusted partner to public sector customers, helping them adopt Kaizen and rethink how they deliver services.
5+ years of experience in software implementation, deployment, or product-adjacent roles (e.g., Implementation Consultant, Solutions Architect, Product Manager)
A proven track record of leading complex software rollouts - especially in public sector, civic tech, healthcare, or similarly complex environments
Technical fluency and experience translating user problems into product requirements and implementation plans
Strong cross-functional communication skills, from frontline users to C-suite executives
Familiarity with project management tools and processes (e.g., Jira, Linear, Asana, Monday)
A bias toward action, learning, and structure, especially in ambiguous or rapidly evolving contexts
A builder’s mindset - motivated to improve systems, tools, and documentation that benefit the whole team
Base Salary is $100k - $150k

What We Do
Have you struggled to reserve that coveted summer camping spot at a state park? Have you wondered why you’re stuck filling out a paper form to renew a permit? What about not being able to reserve your favorite pickleball court from your phone?
Kaizen Labs is redefining government technology and building solutions across parks & recreation, permitting, citizen engagement, and more. We recognize that incumbent software systems are inefficient and sometimes broken. That’s why we believe residents and public servants across America’s 85,000 government agencies deserve access to modern, trusted software that rivals what we use in our daily lives.
Kaizen’s software currently serves ~1.5 million residents across the country and this number will increase to 7 million in the first half of 2025. Some of our partners include the City of Santa Clarita, MetroParks of Butler County, and the Town of Weymouth. Here is a quick video capturing the essence of our work with Pima County, AZ!
Founded in 2022 and based in New York City, we’re backed by Accel and Andreessen Horowitz. Our team of 25 (and growing) is eager to leave a lasting impact on the public services that are so critical to our health, safety, and wellness.
