The Role
Saviynt is seeking a Senior Devops Engineer to help lead the automation of our software deployment lifecycle. This role is ideal for a seasoned DevOps professional with deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and deployment automation frameworks. You will play a key role in driving scalable, secure, and reliable delivery processes across our cloud-based platform.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable deployment automation frameworks.
- Lead development of internal tools and reusable components to support automated deployments.
- Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) across various environments.
- Integrate infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Manage and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes, Helm, and containerization best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Architects, SREs, and QA.
- Champion DevOps best practices and support platform-wide adoption of automation and observability standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot complex deployment issues and lead root cause analysis.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to evolving internal best practices.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, software deployment automation, or similar roles.
- Strong programming skills in Java and familiarity with Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
- Expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).Solid experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and Helm chart management.
- Proven experience automating deployments in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps culture, Agile methodology, and release engineering best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications (a plus, not required)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
- Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Jenkins Engineer
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
- Saviynt Platform Certifications (if applicable)
