SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Demand Planner is crucial in creating precise forecasts that inform supply chain strategies, manage inventory levels, and facilitate strategic business decisions. This role requires a keen analysis of sales data, market trends, and collaborative insights to anticipate customer needs accurately. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, blending data analysis with business savvy to enhance forecast precision and ensure product availability.This position will require working in the Binh Duong Factory sometimes per month/ quarter with a provided shuttle bus.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and refine product demand forecasts.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to integrate relevant insights into demand planning.
- Analyze past sales data and trends to inform future demand projections.
- Create and refine statistical forecasting models, assessing their performance.
- Regularly update weekly and monthly plans to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
- Coordinate and participate in monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings with Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams.
- Monitor and report on critical metrics, including inventory levels, sales outcomes, and the accuracy of forecasts.
- Maintain, review, and update records and reports related to demand planning activities.
- Drive enhancements in demand planning processes and technological tools.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or College degree in fields related to Economics, with a preference for specializations in Logistics, Data Analysis, International Business, Commerce, etc.
Competencies / Personal qualities:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within organizations that manage diverse product categories, have varied turnover cycles, and complex inventory management systems.
- Proficient understanding of sales and supply chain dynamics, including strategies and the interdependence of short- and long-term business plans.
- Familiarity with demand forecasting, statistical analysis, and the critical input data required for effective forecasting.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, capable of effective communication, coordination, and persuasion across various organizational levels.
- High integrity, a strong service mindset, diligence, dynamism, and outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with Power BI and Power Automate for data analysis and automation tasks.
