PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $83,300.00-$101,700.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $64,600.00 - $120,600.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As the DEI Program Specialist at BECU, you will be at the forefront of driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization. Your work will help shape a culture that embraces diversity through impactful programs, strategic partnerships, and meaningful celebrations. You’ll take ownership of managing Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), coordinating their activities, and ensuring alignment with BECU’s DEI goals. By leading these efforts, you’ll not only enhance employee engagement but also drive meaningful progress toward achieving BECU’s diversity metrics. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that every voice is heard, every perspective is valued, and that together we are creating an environment where all employees can thrive. This role requires to be on-site a minimum of 2 times per month.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead ERG Strategy: Support the development and implementation of BECU’s enterprise-wide ERG strategy, from cultural celebrations to impactful employee programs.
  • Develop ERG Communication Plans: Collaborate with internal and external communication teams to craft an ERG communications strategy that keeps the organization informed and engaged.
  • Support ERG Leadership: Partner with ERG leaders and executive sponsors to ensure their annual work plans are successfully executed and aligned with BECU’s DEI goals.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with marketing, community engagement, and learning and development teams to ensure ERG efforts are integrated and aligned with organizational initiatives.
  • Manage ERG Budgets: Monitor and track ERG budgets, ensuring that funds are allocated and used appropriately.
  • Track and Report DEI Progress: Provide ongoing tracking and reporting of progress toward BECU’s enterprise-wide DEI goals, ensuring accountability and transparency.
  • Analyze and Report DEI Impact: Perform quarterly analysis on diversity metrics, track employee engagement, and help establish baselines and targets for improvement.
  • Create DEI Reports and Proposals: Support the DEI team by creating reports, maintaining process documentation, and providing analysis to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Support Annual Events: Help plan and deliver BECU’s annual Equity Summit, ensuring the event is a platform for learning, dialogue, and meaningful change.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Oversee day-to-day administrative functions, including vendor management and budget coordination, to keep DEI operations running smoothly.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Be ready to take on additional duties and contribute where needed as part of a dynamic and collaborative team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of project or program management experience.
  • 1 year of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion experience.
  • Knowledge of program management and development procedures.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to partner with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Time-management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of budgeting and reporting.
  • Experience building relationships to integrate equity and inclusion strategies.
  • Multilingual proficiency.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with management, staff, and external partners.
