Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Degree Audit the Degree Audit specialist will provide comprehensive support and service to students and a host of internal stakeholders to promote pathway persistence, credential completion, and successful transfer.

Key Responsibilities

Participates in initiatives focusing on increasing persistence and completion numbers.

Ensures timely processing of all degree requirement exceptions to academic programs and makes any necessary updates to the student’s official degree plan.

Demonstrates knowledge of MS Excel, SharePoint, Navigate, and Colleague’s Degree Audit module and other student services technology.

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of curriculum, including degree, certificate, and core curriculum requirements.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Demonstrates strong written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with students.
-
Works with Pathway Specialists, Success Coaches, and Schools to ensure accuracy of credential and core requirements; and assists in the resolution of degree audit issues for students, faculty and staff.

Verify graduation requirements and confer degrees.
-
Assist with commencement and diploma processes, assignments/responsibilities.
-
Prepare graduation lists and honors lists for various internal stakeholders.

Collaborates with different workgroups to increase student success outcomes.

Collaborates with the Pathway Specialists and Career and Transfer Skills Development specialists in developing understandable, user-friendly, consistent transfer guides explaining and clarifying course transferability and program requirements at partnering 4-year colleges and universities.

Ensures regulatory compliance with Dallas College, state, and federal requirements.

Prepares and presents reports, proposals, and recommendations for overall programs; keeps detailed records of assigned activities.

Exhibits high-quality customer service standards.

Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.

Utilizes excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to interact effectively with individuals within the Dallas College community network.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Associate’s degree in higher education, community college, student development or another related field as confirmed by official transcripts.

Minimum two (2) years of registrar, degree audit, or related experience. Preference is within a higher education environment.

Official transcripts are required.

Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.
