Execute strategy for the Corporate and Investment Banking and Business Banking through originating, structuring and executing :(a) Loan transactions including Capex financing, bridge loan, Refinancing, Revolving Credit Facility, Acquisition Finance

Job Description
Transaction Management
Outputs:
Originate, Structure and execute transactions across Mauritius and Africa whilst demonstrating key business competencies.
Ensure that products are appropriately priced in line with policies and approved FTPs.
Assist in the management of the CIB and Business Banking Debt and Asset Finance pipelines and ensuring the timely execution of deals to achieve set targets
Assist in the preparation of Short Term Plans and Medium Term Plans.
Assist in timely preparation of Management Information
Contribute to the maintenance and development of client relationships through the origination of value-added, creative ideas and solutions.
Set clear direction for projects and deal teams by establishing and communicating realistic goals and timelines and ensuring effective execution.
Ensure the right mix of skills is looking at the deal, this includes specialist input from Absa.
Be the product specialist and ensure the right engagement with both local and external credit.
Assist the Coverage Team in the preparation of Level 1 papers and credit papers.
Risk Management
Ensure that processes, control requirements and risk management frameworks that impact the area are implemented.
Ensure full understanding of all compliance requirements and call for the area's Compliance Officer to conduct briefing sessions if gaps are identified.
Ensure that all regulatory requirements are adhered to.
Understand and adhere to governance and compliance policies and procedures. Demonstrate sound judgment and act in accordance with responsible risk management principles.
Escalate identified issues in a timely manner to management. Where applicable, demonstrate awareness and understanding of the relevant control principles and is committed to applying them to working practices as required.
Act with integrity in all dealings with internal and external stakeholders. Build sustainable relationships with clients based on transparency and honesty.

Proactively develop relationships with key stakeholders internal and external eg: compliance Absa business partner, key clients identified.
Build and develop relationships across the firm with various stakeholders with the intention of breaking down silos to maximise business growth.

Contribute to the development of business unit strategy.
Deliver agreed targets and take accountability for the overall achievement of performance objectives in the business area.
Perform within agreed SLAs with infrastructure.
Maintain an accurate and up-to date pipeline
Preferred Education and Experience:
Degree with minimum 2 years relevant experience or equivalent of 4 years bank related experience
Strong Credit analysis experience
Deep knowledge and understanding of African economies
Debt origination and execution
Financial and Debt Capacity Modelling experience
