THIS IS A TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Location: Tok, AKPosition SummaryTidal Basin has an immediate need for an experienced Debris Data Manager to support wildfire debris removal monitoring operations in Tok, Alaska following the Mukluk Fire. This position is responsible for data management, ticket reconciliation, and documentation activities in support of the debris monitoring mission. A qualified candidate will possess exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and prior debris monitoring or data management experience.Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance of field data collected by debris monitors
  • Coordinate and track reconciled tickets against unreconciled tickets and report findings to the hauling contractor
  • Track voided tickets and report them to the client and hauling contractor
  • Coordinate project tracking and data management for debris contracts with established systems
  • Export data and create required reports for the client
  • Establish and maintain system for collection, review, organization, and storage of project documents
  • Reconcile load ticket data against contractor invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Develop reconciliation reports and payment recommendations for the client regarding hauling contractor invoices
  • Compile and submit project documents to the client at project closeout
  • Maintain all company project documents and provide for storage of project records
  • Complete all required training
Skills and CompetenciesThe candidate should possess the following:
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, charts and graphs, data analysis, and complex functions
  • Strong understanding of debris monitoring operations and load ticket processes
  • Ability to identify data discrepancies and reconcile records accurately
  • Positive, professional, and courteous approach with clients and team members
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and work instructions
  • Ability to communicate verbally in English and write legibly
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, motor vehicle, and criminal background check
  • Valid state driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance
  • Cell phone with charger
  • Ability to work in remote Alaska conditions as needed
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior debris monitoring or debris data management experience strongly preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience in debris monitoring preferred

Field Work/Physical Demands/Work Schedule
  • Able to work as early as 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. seven days a week during the response period
  • Approximately 12 to 14 hours per day
  • Able to work up to 70 to 90 hours per week as needed including weekends.
