POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will interface directly with internal stakeholders, external suppliers/providers, architecture, product engineering, and business management. At times, they may interface with various levels of senior management. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must. The candidate must be able to work independently and successfully in team settings of multiple sizes and locations. Adherence and use of standards, product sets, templates, systems, and artifacts are essential to the success of the individual, the department, and the company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • The team is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing the regional DDI/IPAM infrastructure.
  • Under Network Services, IP Critical Services capabilities are to be provided to the LOB.
  • IP Critical services include DNS/DHCP/NTP, the backbone of all IT services.
  • The team is designated as the escalation point for Network Operations, providing timely solutions and consultations to restore critical production incidents.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end engineering and deployment of DMZ services within the APAC region, serving as senior leaders' escalation point of contact.
  • Responsible for hands-on implementation, configuration of devices, and engineering new services for production.
  • Leading and supervising diverse, geographically dispersed engineers across APAC.
  • Ensure security controls are implemented and operating effectively as part of solutions delivery.
  • Create designs based on industry best practices, engineering standards, and security principles.
  • Manage a wide variety of DMZ technology infrastructure and business-aligned initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global engineering domain leads and operations teams from service design through the operations transition process for new services.
  • Understanding the design/purpose of each application or infrastructure project, defining resource requirements to efficiently collaborate across other technology technical teams to deliver high visibility projects.
  • Ensuring documentation is updated to reflect new additions to or modifications in the environment and handed into Operations successfully.
  • Identifying and managing the mitigation of risks within the environment.
  • Liaise with Information Security partners to enforce compliance with standards.
  • Support activities related to Audit, Compliance Reviews & Regulatory Exams.
  • Review all capacity metrics to ensure the availability of all services.
  • Facilitate meetings among all stakeholders/ vendors regularly and produce status update reports periodically.
  • Operational Change Oversight - Perform change readiness reporting & communications
  • Provide reporting and communication of change activity, including incidents that may be related to change
  • Facilitate escalation to NOC and Change leadership teams
  • Work ad-hoc reports and offline incidents at the direction of the senior team members or leadership

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Deep understanding of DHCP, DNS, IP Addressing, and Time protocols
  • Integration of DNS and DHCP in Active Directory environment
  • A high degree of experience in the day-to-day configuration and level 3 troubleshooting of IPAM DHCP and DNS, and expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IPAM products in a large, distributed environment.
  • Creating & modifying DNS zone files manually (forward and reverse zones)
  • Ability to Plan, verify, and integrate DDI solutions for complex client applications.
  • Good Knowledge of DNS Anycast and other backup mechanisms.
  • Deep understanding of DNS/DHCP/NTP
  • Integration of DNS and DHCP in Active Directory environment
  • Strong discipline regarding enforcement of access and change management ITIL best practices and principles
  • Understanding of Network Automation tools and processes ( Python, JSON, Yamal) 
  • Self-starter/self-directed, organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills, excellent client interfacing skills
  • Demonstrates ownership: Is accountable and can hold others accountable (professionally)
  • Ability to operate with colleagues across different time zones  (ability to work varied hours) to successfully interact and communicate on a global level
  • Strong experience with Bluecat DDI infrastructure (physical and VM) and NTP & PTP servers

Preferred Certifications: 

  • BlueCat - BlueCat Fundamentals Certified Professional-DDI (BFCP-DDI)
  • BlueCat - BlueCat Advanced Certified Professional-DDI (BACP-DDI)
  • ISC (Internet Systems Consortium) - DNS/CP – Certified DNS/BIND Professional
