Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $29.20.

Position Overview: 

This position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience.

Warehouse Utility receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products. Also reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, or electric hand truck.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies. 
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Receive and unload raw materials. 
  • Unload chemicals from railcars and tanker trucks. 
  • Verify paperwork and COA prior to receiving raw materials. 
  • Follow working standards and ensure accuracy of the unloading process.
  • Operate forklift to unload and transport raw materials.
  • Receive raw materials into SAP and properly account for the paperwork.
  • Verify bill of lading against actual quantity received.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled cycle counts and identify root causes of any inventory variances.  
  • Inspects mobile equipment and completes the appropriate checklist(s).
  • Assist production team with raw materials needs.
  • Communicate inventory status and support the process to replenish raw materials. 
  • Coordinate switches with the railroad to ensure proper placement of the railcars.
  • Manages the unloading of railcars to avoid/minimize demurrage charges and accidental release.
  • Support the reporting and corrective actions associated with supplier quality issues. 
  • Manage collection and return of plant recyclable streams.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports for this position. 

Requirements: (education, skills, and abilities)

  • HS Diploma or GED 
  • Have general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages). 
  • Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office). 
  • Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal). 
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Exceptional team player. 
  • Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)                                                                                  

  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.                                                                                             
  • Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)                                       
  • The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
  • The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).                                                                                              
  • The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.        
  • The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
  • The ability to reach or work above the shoulder.
