Why work at Nebius
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud computing to serve the global AI economy. We create the tools and resources our customers need to solve real-world challenges and transform industries, without massive infrastructure costs or the need to build large in-house AI/ML teams. Our employees work at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure alongside some of the most experienced and innovative leaders and engineers in the field.
Where we work
Headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on Nasdaq, Nebius has a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, North America, and Israel. The team of over 800 employees includes more than 400 highly skilled engineers with deep expertise across hardware and software engineering, as well as an in-house AI R&D team.
Nebius is looking for a DC & IT Tools Development Lead to join the Hardware Infrastructure team. You are welcome to work in our Amsterdam office.
The team designs, develops and supports systems across the DCs lifecycle, including:
- ITDC Terminal (a specialised task tracker used by local DC staff)
- Test/Disposal WH stands (functional testing and decommissioning)
- Logistics & Stocktage tools (asset intake, inventory, movements, and dispatch)
- DC tools (maintenance for engineering and IT equipment in our DCs)
Your focus is to own the direction: architect systems, shape the roadmap, coordinate delivery with a neighbouring backend development group and lead stakeholder engagement. Hands-on work is welcome but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own architecture across the portfolio: target designs, system boundaries, interfaces and SLAs.
- Define and maintain the systems roadmap: prioritisation, maturity, risks and success metrics.
- Lead delivery with the development teams: backlog, release coordination, technical decision-making.
- Drive product practices: discovery, requirements, RFC/ADR, design reviews and clear documentation.
- Partner with stakeholders (DC operations, logistics/warehouse, testing/repairs, security, finance).
- Proactively initiate improvements.
We expect you to have:
- 7+ years in software engineering and/or technical leadership.
- Strong engineering background with the ability to decompose complex systems and define clean interfaces.
- Proven experience running multi-stream roadmaps and coordinating delivery across teams.
- Solid requirements skills: stakeholder interviews, prioritisation, formalisation and pragmatic trade-offs.
- Ability to produce clear RFCs/ADRs and high-quality technical documentation.
- Working proficiency in English.
It would be an added bonus if you had:
- Understanding of modern server hardware and DC infrastructure.
- Strong networking knowledge and reliability practices for distributed systems.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
- Opportunities for professional growth within Nebius.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- A dynamic and collaborative work environment that values initiative and innovation.
We’re growing and expanding our products every day. If you’re up to the challenge and are excited about AI and ML as much as we are, join us!
