Bus/PSV Mechanic

  • Based at our Barnstaple depot, located at Pottington industrial estate.
  • Pay rate of £20.27 per hour for days engineer (Monday- Friday totalling 39 hours a week)
  • Enhanced rate of pay for overtime.

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Bus/PSV Mechanic to join our friendly team at Stagecoach Barnstaple. What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses to DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards
  • Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Carrying out routine inspections, servicing, and occasional roadside repairs
  • Supporting apprentices by sharing your knowledge and experience
  • Working safely and efficiently as part of a collaborative depot team

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience working on commercial or specialist vehicles
  • A safety-first attitude and strong attention to detail
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Previous experience working on buses or large passenger vehicles (desirable)
