The role also leads regional electrification and depot evolution programs, supports reliable vehicle performance, and serves as a nominated Transport Manager under the Operator’s Licence.

Provides administrative support for a transport depot, including driver compliance checks, medical appointment coordination, recruitment administration, personnel-file maintenance, document control, correspondence, data entry, reporting, and meeting coordination. The role supports depot and operations managers, maintains regulatory records, handles confidential information, and liaises with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant depot operations.

Maintain and repair a varied fleet of modern vehicles through depot-based routine maintenance and roadside troubleshooting. The role supports electric vehicle and depot infrastructure advancements, requires high engineering standards, and offers training toward additional qualifications. Candidates need a vehicle engineering background from bus, truck, rail, farm, or automotive settings and a UK driving licence. A Level 3 engineering NVQ is preferred but not essential.

Manage vehicle parts inventory and procurement across Inverness, Aviemore, Tain, and Elgin depots. Duties include scheduling and ordering parts through Eams Systems, booking parts, paying invoices, raising purchase orders, conducting stock checks, delivering and collecting parts, and performing general administrative tasks. The role supports workshop operations and requires flexibility to work across multiple depots.

Maintain and service buses to safety standards, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, perform preventative and reactive maintenance, complete roadside repairs, document defects, and support workshop colleagues. The role requires a qualified PSV or HGV maintenance engineer with commercial vehicle repair experience, diagnostic tool proficiency, a safety-first approach, and a full UK driving licence.

Provides technical and functional support for digital systems and services with minimal supervision. Manages incidents and service requests through resolution, performs fault diagnosis, coordinates defect progression with business analysts, QA, and development teams, and liaises with stakeholders on issues and enhancements. Supports release transitions into business-as-usual operations and maintains operational, user, and training documentation. The role requires strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and SLA-focused service management skills.

Respond to customer enquiries across phone, webchat, email, SMS and social media; resolve complaints empathetically; spot patterns to improve service; work with regional operations and enterprise systems; operate on rotating shifts.

Plan, schedule, and optimise contact centre staffing using forecasts and real-time monitoring. Produce reports and dashboards, analyse data to improve efficiency, manage adherence, identify risks, and support continuous improvement with operational leaders.

Coordinate rail replacement services during disruptions and planned work across the UK. Manage buses/trains on time, make announcements, carry out safety duties, assist customers, and support special events. Keep passengers informed, respond to incidents, and work flexible hours with travel as required. Training provided.

Lead and manage depot engineering operations for a fleet of buses: supervise engineers, technicians and apprentices; oversee vehicle maintenance, depot facilities, compliance (DVSA), resource planning, stock control, procurement, H&S, and continuous improvement while supporting fleet evolution including electric vehicles.
