Role Summary
We are looking for a Databricks Data Analyst with strong Power BI skills to support data-driven business initiatives by transforming business needs into reliable datasets, dashboards, reports, and analytical insights.
The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, digital teams, data engineers, and product teams to understand requirements, explore data, define data needs, build transformations, and create high-quality Power BI dashboards using data from cloud and Databricks-based environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with Databricks, Power BI, Power Query, and a good understanding of modern cloud data platforms, especially in a Microsoft Azure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand, clarify, and formalize reporting, analytics, and data requirements.
- Explore data from technical and functional perspectives to identify useful insights, quality gaps, and transformation needs.
- Use Databricks to access, analyze, prepare, and transform datasets for reporting and analytical use cases.
- Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and visualizations.
- Develop Power Query transformations and support data preparation activities for BI solutions.
- Define required data objects, attributes, data quality rules, and functional mapping between source data and reporting outputs.
- Support conceptual and technical data modeling for BI and analytics use cases.
- Contribute to backlog definition, prioritization, and delivery tracking in Agile/product mode.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, product owners, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end BI solutions.
- Participate in testing, validation, user acceptance, documentation, and move-to-run activities.
- Prepare technical and functional documentation, including data models, report specifications, and dashboard guides.
- Provide technical assistance to project teams and business users.
- Ensure BI solutions are reliable, well-documented, scalable, and aligned with governance and quality standards.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Databricks SQL, SQL analytics, notebooks, or lakehouse environments.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, or other Azure data services.
- Experience with Power Platform, especially Power Apps.
- Exposure to Python or PySpark for data analysis is a plus.
- Experience with data governance, GDPR, documentation standards, and move-to-run processes.
- Experience delivering BI solutions from initial business need through production deployment.
- Proficiency in French is desirable.

- Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Analytics Consultant, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for data exploration, preparation, analysis, or transformation.
- Strong experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, report design, and publishing.
- Good knowledge of Power Query and data transformation techniques.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, data profiling, and data quality concepts.
- Ability to define business requirements and translate them into technical data and reporting specifications.
- Experience working with cloud data environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Good understanding of BI project lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Experience with Agile delivery, backlog management, and tools such as Jira.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Good written and spoken English.
