Role Description:
We are seeking a skilled Database Solution Specialist with expertise in Google Cloud databases to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing database solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various Google Cloud database services such as Cloud SQL, Firestore, Bigtable, and Spanner, and possess hands-on experience in deploying and optimizing these solutions to meet the organization's data needs.
Responsibilities:

Designing and implementing database solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) according to business requirements and best practices.

Evaluating and recommending appropriate Google Cloud database services based on performance, scalability, and cost considerations.

Developing data migration strategies and executing database migrations to Google Cloud environments.

Optimizing database performance and ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of Google Cloud databases.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate database solutions with other GCP services and applications.

Providing technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients on Google Cloud database technologies.

Monitoring database health, performance, and capacity utilization, and implementing proactive measures to address issues.

Staying updated on the latest advancements and best practices in Google Cloud database technologies and incorporating them into the organization's solutions.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a Database Administrator, Database Engineer, or similar role, with a focus on Google Cloud databases.

In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its database services, including Cloud SQL, Firestore, Bigtable, and Spanner.

Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing database solutions on Google Cloud.

Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and query optimization techniques.

Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot database-related issues.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer) preferred but not required.
