Job Description
As a Database Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and evolving AIM's Data management and efficiency to support and enhance our core business operations. Your mission is to lead and contribute to transformational projects and ensure continuous service improvement, security, and operational reliability across our information system.
Your role and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of databases services, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
- Administer a large number of databases instances and services that drive our business.
- Contribute to define standards and best practices for Databases design and operations.
- Innovate on the databases management by implementing automation and self-healing solutions based on a continuous improvement mindset.
- Maintain cutting-edge performance and monitoring systems, contributing to the continuous advancement of our IT practices.
- Uphold exemplary technical documentation and contribute to the knowledge-sharing culture within the team.
- Participate to after-hours support and perform occasional maintenance outside regular business hours.
Qualifications
- At least 3-4 years of experience in database administration (MSSQL and/or PostgreSQL)
- Expertise in database performance issue troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of database and IS architecture.
- Knowledge of scripting for automation: Python, Bash, Powershell.
- Proficiency in system administration (servers, virtualization, containerization, storage).
- A proven track record in implementing and managing infrastructure observability and monitoring tools.
- Experience with different network technologies.
- Experience with systems (Windows, Linux) and infrastructures management is a plus
- Bilingual communication skills in English and French.
