The Database Administrator (DBA) / Data Architect is responsible for end-to-end data and database lifecycle ownership, spanning data architecture, application development support (Build), and operational support (Run).

Key Responsibilities:
Business-Facing Data Leadership
- Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technical teams for all data-related topics
- Translate business requirements into scalable data models and database designs
- Provide consultative guidance to business and product owners on:
- Data structure and data flow design
- Performance and scalability implications
- Data governance and compliance requirements
- Lead discussions to align business processes, data architecture, and application design
- Drive data-driven decision support, ensuring solutions meet business outcomes and KPIs
- Bridge gaps across:
- Business → Application (requirements clarity)

- Architecture → Operations (run feasibility and sustainability)
Data Architecture & Design
- Define and maintain logical and physical data models aligned with enterprise and business requirements
- Design scalable, high-performance data architectures across cloud and on-prem platforms
- Establish and enforce:
- Data standards and naming conventions
- Data lifecycle management (retention, archival, purging)
- Define data flows, integrations, and dependencies across applications
- Align all designs with Stellantis Enterprise Architecture and governance frameworks
- Support data platform modernization and cloud transformation initiatives
Build
- Design, build, and deploy database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers)
- Partner with application teams on:
- Data modeling and schema design
- SQL optimization and performance tuning
- Develop and deploy database code aligned to SDLC and governance standards
- Participate in design reviews and architecture governance processes
- Support data migration, environment setup, and release deployments
Run
- Provide 24x7 operational database support including monitoring and incident management
- Own and resolve critical database incidents, ensuring minimal business impact
- Execute patching, upgrades, backup, and recovery validation activities
- Continuously optimize performance, availability, and reliability
- Maintain runbooks, automation scripts, and operational procedures
DevOps, Automation & Platform Integration
- Enable integration of database changes into CI/CD pipelines
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for database provisioning
- Support observability, monitoring, and automation frameworks
- Align with cloud platform standards (AWS / Azure)
Governance, Security & Data Management
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory policies
- Define and enforce:

- Access controls and data security
- Support audit readiness, vulnerability remediation, and risk management
Stakeholder & Product Team Collaboration
- Act as DBA and Data Architecture SME across product teams

Basic Qualifications:
Experience:
