Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility:

Supports company's sales growth and customer retention goals by conducting comprehensive supply chain analyses of customers' businesses and company's warehouse operations.

Essential Functions:
• Analyzes customer sales initiative requirements, combined with Americold capabilities, to create Requests for Proposals (RFP's) for new business which support the development of customized logistics solutions for Americold's customers.• Prepares RFPs for internal Capital Development projects, including solution design, data analysis, and validation of information used for planning in order to undertake detailed analysis of customer product profiles to determine warehousing requirements, including resource modeling, layout planning, material flow planning and equipment definition.• Identifies internal initiatives involving the analysis of current operations to recommend the creation of new service offerings, targeted sales campaigns, or internal productivity enhancements to develop business cases using financial modeling techniques to support client proposals with identified internal initiatives.• Manages the solution design process by leading cross functional team(s) to coordinate detailed proposal development & pricing of new business projects including project analytics, customer data collection, cleansing and solution development, and costing utilizing expertise in warehousing processes and facility designs to support cost estimates for new business.• Prepares and manages structured action plans to ensure projects (RFP, Capital Development) have a clearly defined set of deliverables to meet customers' deadlines with full interaction with other internal functions to develop best-in-class proposals.• Manages and develops resource planning/engineered headcount tools to ensure accuracy of proposals which support design of warehouses, fulfillment, and distribution centers with use of AutoCAD.• Provides project findings and recommendations with supporting analysis by developing presentations and proposals for both internal use and customer responses (RFPs) to assist in the development of innovative methodologies related to warehouse operations. • Performs other duties as requested or as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree (Business, Logistics or Engineering) or related field. Master's degree (Business or Engineering) or related field preferred• Professional experience in a relevant field or industry such as 3PL or distribution preferred

Knowledge & Employment Standards:
• Background in data analytics and/or industrial engineering.• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.• Preferred experience in AutoCAD, SQL, simulation software and Microsoft Project.• Must be naturally curious in nature and interested in finding the perfect solution to difficult problems. • Must enjoy discussing and/or documenting project scope, approaches and status updates.• Demonstrated success at creating persuasive proposals and presentations.• Progressive, flexible and team-oriented approach desired (preferably with willingness to travel occasionally (~10%)

Physical Requirements & Abilities:
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions.• Must be able to sit and get up and down from chairs for several hours per day, and must be able to reach or bend to retrieve various items.• Must demonstrate manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work.• Must be able to talk, hear, and see sufficiently to complete assigned tasks.• May require travel by automobile and airplane up for business.• May require a visit to facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing.• May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lift, carry, position, or move objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.• Must be able to use of various electronic tools in order to complete assigned tasks.• Demonstrated ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes.• Must be able to demonstrate cognitive skills of reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management
