Job Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst will be based in Columbia, SC. The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data and methods to predict and improve delivery of products. This role requires regular interfacing with suppliers and internal customers to establish cost, supply chain expectation and deliver results.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Setting standard costs at item level at RFQ stage and meet customer requirement, follow up management strategy
  • Communicates with the customer on supply chain issues (customer negotiations on standard costs, materials claims)
  • BOM analysis and identify key cost driver to maximize cost advantages and alignment of suppliers towards the commodity plans
  • Introduce to customer Flex PSL to compliment sole source components and to assist reducing product cost through alternative source introduction and qualification
  • Develops vertical integration plan for the account, and coordinates with the procurement teams and VI partners to execute
  • Develops the PPV plan for the account/ final decision point on std costs, communication to customer
  • Works with the operations, procurement, materials, and account team to define and execute the materials strategy
  • Coordinates cost reduction activities with the SBM & GCM
  • PPV management at the detailed level (review with teams to reduce/eliminate UPPV, get claims on the CMT, execute PPV strategy/tactics)
  • Determine customers' schedule and flexibility and map the component lead time and cancellation window to assess inventory exposure and drive towards zero materials liability
  • Early assessment of procurement capability for NPI
  • Assures source control flags are properly maintained
  • Holds regular materials reviews with team members - Drives materials related action items



Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering, or similar field
  • Six years' experience in supply chain in customer facing position
  • Strong mathematical & analytical skills
  • Demonstrates experience in performance development, teaching/leading, mentoring and organization development. Supports strategic direction for the function.
  • Commodity/Component Knowledge
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Problem solving and negotiation skill
  • Pricing/Materials Cost
  • Fluent in English (oral & written)
  • Familiar with statistical methods

  • APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional
  • Exposure in a large-scale manufacturing environment
  • Training and coaching team to solve the issues or difficulties
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified
  • SPC implementation in manufacturing environments
  • Microsoft Office Applications - Strong Excel knowledge (large data cell manipulation)
