Principal Workday Analyst
The Capital One HR Connected Products team is focused on driving amazing associate experiences through strategic alignment with business and Tech partners. A key component of the team is elevating our Workday platform and we are looking for motivated individuals to help drive our journey forward.
HR Connected Products is seeking a Principal Workday HRIS Analyst with experience in Workday or other HR technologies to support configuration of the talent and performance modules of Workday. In this role, you would partner throughout HR to design, build and test solutions based on business requirements.
The Principal Workday HRIS Analyst is also responsible for promoting programs and procedures into the production environment along with testing the software and associated procedures. The analyst ensures that all technical documentation is accurate and current and that all technical matters regarding the application have been addressed prior to product launch. Additionally, the analyst works directly with HR Tech partners to ensure system integrations are running as expected.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understands and translates the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
- Incorporates human design thinking into solution design
- Manages configuration of the Workday system and serves as a subject matter expert for Workday Performance and Talent
- Collaborates with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results
- Partners with HR Tech to support, deliver and test system integrations
- Continually researches, tests and stays up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes and capabilities
- Maintains up to date documentation and controls for system implementation
- Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective
- Provides production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
- Consults stakeholders to ensure delivery of solutions to business problems
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 2 years of experience with Workday Administration or at least 2 years of experience with Workday Configuration or a combination of both
- At least 2 years of client facing experience or at least 2 years of consulting experience or a combination of both
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years of experience with Workday
- At least 3 years of client facing experience or at least 3 years of consulting experience or a combination of both
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
