Pratt & Whitney is looking for a motivated MBSE-PLM Technical Configuration Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete configurations and technical system analysis to deliver and execute global MBSE requirements in support of world class system availability and performance.
  • Partner with engineering MBSE & PLM discipline team and third-party resources to gather and complete requirements on the Pratt enterprise MBSE environment.
  • Develop configurations in alignment with our Pratt PLM DevSecOps processes; help in growing DevSecOps overall for our PLM platform.
  • Stay up to date on best practices of SysML modeling tools.
  • Assist the Engineering team in the development and management of a SysML models and aid their development cycles.
  • Participate in standups, planning sessions, reviews, demos, etc as coordinated by the Project Manager.
  • Systems analysis for integrations between MBSE platform and other enterprise systems (including PLM, CAD, ERP, MES) to enable end-to-end data connectivity across the organization.
  • Consulting with Engineering customers to advise on key MBSE-PLM product and configuration challenges.
  • Administer MBSE configurations within the environment (Dev, Test, Prod) as needed.
  • Help with deployment of application performance monitoring tools to improve the performance and reliability of MBSE systems.
  • Participate on the PLM Interdisciplinary Program Management Team to provide MBSE technical expertise and maintain project continuity and communicate deployment plans.
  • Assist with P&W PLM roadmap including technologies and industry best practices.
  • 3+ years' experience as an MBSE or PLM functional analyst, developer, engineer, administrator, could be code development for MBSE or PLM customizations, configuration updates, system administration, architecture design, application integration, product road mapping, authoring of MBSE technical specs.
  • 3+ years' experience in a technical analyst role, either hands-on coding or configuration, experience as an engineer, or other similar (Python, C#, Java, /C++, or similar).
  • Ability to design and implement solutions for Teamcenter MBSE or CAMEO NoMagic.
  • Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, can develop clear, concise, and logically written business communications & deliver recommendations.
  • Proven track record communicating within cross-functional team of technical resources, QA, and engineers.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships to leverage information and insights across groups• Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with enthusiasm and strong customer service.


Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S Citizen required due to Government contractual requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience developing or completing technical analyst work for custom applications using NXOpen API.
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat 3DPDF API and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with PMI and Characteristics, MIL-STD-31000 REV B, Industry knowledge of 3D PDF for product definition.
  • Previous background as an engineer (mechanical, aerospace, software, etc).
  • Ability to provide strategic technical MBSE & PLM leadership and lead by influence the creation of long-term strategy (more than 3 years) roadmaps in a virtual environment.
  • Skilled at analyzing business process and seeing opportunities for digital solutions.
  • Experience working in SDLC, Waterfall, or Agile program structures.
  • Good communication skills, work ethic and a high level of personal integrity and accountability.
  • Willing to learn new technologies & take on new projects to grow experience.
  • Self-directed and able to learn quickly with ability to drive and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates.
  • Comfortable working with minimal daily supervision and to balance priorities.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).
