The Manager of Consumer Insights works in partnership with Peapod Digital Labs and the ADUSA Private Brands team. They lead primary research for key company initiatives, key research vendors, and works with business partners within the organization to provide high quality, concise and useful insights. They will ensure integrity through consistent, timely and error free reporting. This person will also be proficient in a wide set of consumer research and insights including qualitative and quantitative methodologies to provide a data-driven view of the customer.
Recipe for Success - What's "in store" for the role

  • Assess business needs and develop appropriate research plan(s) based on objectives and key critical metrics.
  • Lead and implement both large tracking studies and ad hoc work.
  • Data collection, analysis, and descriptive statistics
  • Connect with business partners across banners and subsidiaries of Ahold Delhaize to understand issues and objectives to deliver the best and most practical consumer research.
  • Lead development, analysis, and delivery of timely, error-free reporting with insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver presentations at key Management Meetings as appropriate.
  • Generate significant consumer insights that result in increased sales and revenue by handling the integration of data from a variety systems and sources, including, but not limited to primary consumer research, syndicated data systems and proprietary vendor provided data sources.
  • Collaborate with team to manage key vendors.
  • Communicate design and findings from research to all levels of leadership.
  • Participate in team efforts to improve and discover innovative research methodologies.
  • Implement standard methodologies within consumer insights through standardization of methods, vendors, tools, and reporting.
  • Partner closely with other team members within Consumer Insights, Advanced Analytics and Private Brands team to lead development, analysis, and execution of priority recommendations.
  • Support strategic analyses that define and improve performances on high priority issues.
  • Develop and implement projects without guidance.


The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients

  • 5+ years in consumer research in CPG/Retail, can be a combination of manufacturer/client side and research supplier side.
  • Experience with brand positioning research.
  • Familiarity with Private Brands preferred
  • Experience with package research.
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Marketing, Marketing Research, Psychology, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • Master's Degree is a plus
