Position Summary
Perform financial analysis, special projects and internal audits related to the operating divisions of the Group. Responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling Group staff budgets and allocations. Position does not have direct reports. Works with division controllers, operating management, and corporate accounting personnel, as well as Group staff (i.e. Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology, Vice Presidents, as well as Group President).
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual Group financial reports and special analyses to support Group management reporting requirements.
  • Assists in the development of annual Group staff, department budgets and monthly allocation of costs to divisions.
  • Prepares journal entries to group ledger to properly account for charges and accruals to group cost centers. Reconciles accounts on group balance sheet.
  • Monitors charges to group cost centers from outside vendors, corporate, and other sources.
  • Assists in the consolidation, analysis, and presentation of the group annual plan, mid-year update, and PSP and quarterly corporate operating meetings.
  • Maintains group commission program.
  • Conducts internal control reviews to follow up on internal audit actions.
  • Assists division in special projects related to implementation of new systems, reporting requirements, and other programs related to accounting re-engineering.
  • Assists with financial analysis of acquisitions and participates in financial due diligence.
  • Monitors accuracy of orders and shipments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Three plus years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software
