Make Your Mark:
The Data Application Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining python-based applications. Our engineers build, integrate and deploy microservices in GCP Kubernetes they will also create and maintain REST API end points in GCP
You'll Get To:
- Proactively drive solutions to open-ended problems in a timely manner.
- Work independently to research and solve business and technical problems.
- Plan their work individually and as part of a team.
- Responsible for building and maintaining machine learning models, data pipelines, and associated maintenance processes.
- Collaborate with product management, cloud, engineering and data science teams to develop a portfolio of high-value AIML services.
- Assess the quality of data as it relates to the ability to solve business problems.
- Prepare data for use with AI/ML capabilities.
- Perform data cleaning and enhancement as is required to achieve a successful solution.
- Lead AI/ML POCs, validating solution approach, methodology, and data processes needed to deliver new capabilities.
- Advocate for Data Science best practices as it relates to solution design and implementation.
- Adhere to ML Ops best practices for building model and data pipelines.
- Build and optimize scalable machine learning solutions in the public cloud.
- Write well-organized, testable code in the implementation of production data science capabilities.
- Proactively collaborate with other team members across the organization.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience translating business requirements into functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Strong practical experience with machine learning techniques in accounting and financial services industries.
- Expertise in statistics, calculus and multivariate analysis.
- Able to build accurate, robust ML models, their accuracy, cleanliness, reliability.
- Expertise with supervised and unsupervised data science algorithms for clustering, classification, and forecasting.
- Able to differentiate Generative AI from AI Agents.
- Have strong passion for empirical data research for practical applications
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in clear, precise, and actionable term
- Knowledge of data engineering methodologies.
- Able to build Model Ops pipelines
- Expertise in SQL, Python, Spark.
- Experience with one or both of Tensorflow/PyTorch is a plus.
- Proficiency in one or more of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Able to collaborate in a team setting via GIT version control.
- Proficiency using Unix/Linux environments.
- Able to own the product and data science aspects of a project.
- Driven, focused, and works independently towards mutually agreed upon goals.
- Strong written and verbal skills - able to explain the work in plain language.
- MS/PhD in Computer Science or other quantitative disciplines
We're Even More Excited If You Have:
- Previous exposure to cloud technologies, specifically Google Cloud Platform, Google BigQuery, and Google Vertex AI, is a big plus.
- Solid understanding of Go-To-Market strategies and related business concepts
