Amentum is currently seeking a Data Scientist/Data Analyst to join our award winning team. We are seeking a person with a Bachelors Degree in math, computer engineering, computer science, statistics, or data science related field with 4 years experience or a Masters degree and 2 years experience. Some research assistant positions can count as experience.
Responsibilities:
- To support analysis of software performance characteristics in the analysis of software related testing metrics and data analysis used to measure analytical trends for decision making models.
- To be given a problem set to bring some form of structure to an unorganized data, create a visualization method with charts, graphs and other forms of visual tool to enable analysis against different variables and relationships.
- To take lead in summarizing the influence of certain variables on outcomes to aid the software and systems engineering teams with in-depth big data analysis.
- To perform data analytics, data cleaning, create algorithms, and create data visualizations
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in math, computer engineering, computer science, statistics, or data science related field with 4 years experience or a Masters degree and 2 years experience.
- Possession or desire to pursue a Comptia Security+ or equivalent Certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of start
-Ability to obtain and maintain an active SECRET security clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with tools such as Power BI, Python, R, Jupyter Notebook, Tableau, SAS, SQL and other data analysis tools.
Ability to Commute to Fredericksburg, VA (1 hour south of Washington D.C.)
