We're looking for an experienced self-directed, inquisitive Data Scientist to join the Data Science team at Antenna. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to drive our most critical initiatives, because of your ability to creatively apply advanced data science techniques to investigate and analyze Antenna's data. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners in Engineering, Data Operations, Product Management, etc. 

You will report to the Data Science Manager. Antenna is a remote-first company, and we are looking for candidates who can work during US business hours. Preferably, you should be based in a US time zone (Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific).

What You’ll Do

  • Discover relevant and high-impact use cases of Antenna data by working with large data sets and solving complex analyses by applying advanced data science methodologies
  • Support the productization and commercialization of new use cases in the form of new data solutions that have a high impact on our customers in the subscription economy
  • Develop and maintain custom data models and algorithms, including predictive modeling and demographic projections
  • Effectively present and communicate complex data strategies and analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences, including clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement product strategy decisions and enhance Antenna's data solutions
  • Support modeling efforts to target populations and address demographic and behavioral biases
  • Conduct research and development in large-scale data mining and information retrieval for online media consumption behavior
  • Ensure data accuracy by assessing new data sources, experimenting with different approaches, and combining methods
  • Expand our coverage universe to provide accurate information on every subscription business within our purview
  • Rigorously document findings and proactively make recommendations for enhancing our data solutions
  • Identify and experiment with opportunities to enhance Antenna’s data solutions by proactively making recommendations.

Who You Are

  • 5-6 years of professional experience in data science or a closely related field
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent practical experience
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong skills in R
  • Proven track record in applying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to real-world problems
  • Extensive experience with exploratory data analysis, including linear models, multivariate analysis, time series analysis, and machine learning algorithms
  • Demonstrated ability to turn cutting-edge research into production-ready products
  • Proficient in working with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Google Cloud) to ingest, transform, schedule, and deploy data models
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and ability to create compelling visual narratives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex models and systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills, with a focus on creating reproducible and maintainable code and analyses
  • Self-starter mentality with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about data, with a keen eye for gleaning insights and pushing the boundaries of what's possible
  • Curious and continuous learner, always staying updated with the latest developments in data science and machine learning
  • Adaptable and resilient, thriving in dynamic and often-changing startup environments
  • Results-driven with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Client-oriented with commercial awareness and the ability to translate data insights into business value

  • Experience in or passion for the Subscription Economy, particularly in media and entertainment sectors
  • Deep understanding of applied statistics and market research methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, behavioral, experimental)
  • Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing (e.g., Spark, CloudBuild)
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools (e.g., ETL processes, data warehousing)
  • Expertise in advanced data visualization techniques and tools
