Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Business Intelligence & SME Development: Actively learn business ecosystems to provide expert-level insights and generate data-driven solutions for internal and external requests.
- Statistical Testing & Analysis: Apply a strong statistical background to conduct tactical or strategic analyses, including the use of A/B testing and other rigorous procedures to address business opportunities.
- Process Migration: Work closely with various stakeholders to engineer new methods and migrate existing processes from one tool to another while ensuring uninterrupted production and data integrity.
- Model Development: Develop and implement rate forecast models, data mining solutions, and machine learning techniques to improve sample acquisition and planning processes.
- Data Visualization: Utilize Alteryx and Tableau to perform complex data analysis and create visualizations that deliver insights into survey performance.
- Automation & Engineering: Design tools to better plan, predict, and monitor sample performance, including writing and testing new logics to meet end-user requirements.
- Data Management: Query data from large relational databases using SQL to support various analyses.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Undergraduate or graduate degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or fields that employ rigorous data analysis.
- Experience: 3+ years’ experience in data science, data analysis, or operations research.
- Statistical Proficiency: Mastery of statistical tests and procedures such as ANOVA (A/B testing), Chi-squared, Correlation, Regression, Student t-test, and Time Series.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, or other relational database software for manipulating large datasets.
- Proficiency in Tableau, BI, or other data visualization software.
- Knowledge of the Apache Spark ecosystem, Databricks, and AWS.
- Core Competencies: Strong critical thinking, creative problem solving, and the ability to work in a time-critical production environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean and/or Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in Alteryx, Python coding, including SciPy, NumPy, and Pandas packages.
- Knowledge of survey sampling methodologies and data collection techniques.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence).
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques like Random Forests, Neural Networks, and Incremental Response Modeling
