Data Scientist
The objective of the Data Scientist is to drive actionable insights and inform corporate strategies through the use of advanced modeling, data mining, analytics, and market intelligence.
Key Skills:
Strong Communication: Demonstrates strong communication skills with a basic understanding of project management principles.
Data Visualization: Ability to visualize data effectively on both simple and complex levels.
Data Analysis and Machine Learning: Proficiency in leveraging data, machine learning techniques, and statistical model frameworks to identify and create business opportunities.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to work with data using query languages such as SQL, Python, DAX, or R and understanding of relational data.
Coding Skills: Demonstrates the ability to write production-ready code in Python or R. Knowledge of generative AI for coding is a plus.
BI Tools: Familiarity with BI tools such as PowerBI is desirable.
Inquisitive Mindset: Possesses an inquisitive mindset and a desire to delve into the details.
Collaboration: Capable of both independent work and collaboration within projects.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher in data science related areas (statistics, applied economics, data science)
- 2+ years of professional analytical experience preferred
- 2+ years of P&C or Life/Retirement experience preferred
