About the Role
We are looking for a highly versatile, motivated, and collaborative QA Lead to join the ESG Data Governance team, contributing to the team's mandate of facilitating consumption of data. The team is focused on creating dataset expertise, increasing Sustainalytics Products data quality, and supporting product releases through the Data Lake pipeline.
Together with your 3 direct reports, you will oversee the Sustainalytics Data Lake content and structure using Great Expectation suite, ensuring the product data is subject to quality standards, expanding expertise on Quality Framework by building partnership with Producers to ensure quality increase upstream
Job Responsibilities- Lead a team of 3 QA Engineers, with a hands-on approach- Contribute to Data Lake Integration Program initiatives, ensuring adherence to organizational objectives- Evaluate test results against expected results, implements improvements to process and recommends alternative testing as needed- Drafts, revises and approves test plans and scripts- Maintain defect triage process and continuous defect review- Offer continuous improvement by assessing customer issues for root cause and future prevention- Build Data Quality partners network (products managers, producers, consumers, database engineers, release and data quality managers) ensuring product quality increase- Build expertise on ESG products (including data modeling)
Qualifications- 3+ years experience within QA, data management and data operations experience- +2 years people management experience- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies.- Strong understanding of databases, data structures and data modeling- Team player attitude- Understanding project and product management tools and concepts.- Knowledge of engineering practices such as deployment pipelines and continuous integration- Strong influencing skills to drive outcomes within cross functional teams- Ability to learn and adapt to change- Strong process orientation- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
