Job DescriptionAs part of the Data Office team, the Data Quality Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across Finance, Risk, and Actuarial domains. Reporting to the Head of Data Quality & Management, the role is primarily focused on technical data analysis, implementation of data quality controls, and database querying using SQL.
Missions
Your missions will include the following activities along the Data Quality value chain:
· Identifying and analyzing data quality issues across various business domains.
· Defining and applying data quality rules, monitoring KPIs, and documenting controls.
· Supporting data cleansing and enrichment initiatives to improve data usability.
· Maintaining metadata, definitions, and quality indicators in the Data Directory.
· Collaborating with business and IT teams to resolve data anomalies.
· Managing reference data, including BC Currency referentials, in line with group standards.
· Using SQL Developer to query databases, investigate anomalies, and deliver structured analyses.
· Documenting business requirements for data quality controls and dashboards.
· Contributing technical expertise to data-related projects.
Profile required
· Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Analysis, Engineering, or Business School with a data focus.
· 2 to 5 years of experience in data quality or technical data analysis.
· Strong proficiency in SQL Developer and good command of Excel.
· Familiarity with reference data management
· Ability to structure and simplify technical issues.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
