Job Description

Part of Coface Group, Coface Technologies is an excellence software development center opened in Bucharest, located in Globalworth Plaza (Aurel Vlaicu), and a key driver in the technology field, aimed to position Coface Group as the most agile global trade-credit partner in the industry.

As a member of the Data Office team, the Data Quality Business Analyst plays a key role in “Maximizing the potential of data” for Coface and its customers. Reporting to the Head of Data Quality & Management, the Business Analyst ensures that data is accurate, consistent, and reliable across Finance, Risk, and Actuarial domains. The role involves hands-on analysis, preparation of key performance indicators, and collaboration with business stakeholders to enhance data quality. The Business Analyst also contributes to the governance and documentation of data referentials and regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II.

Your missions will include the following activities along the Data Quality value chain 

• Analyze and identify data quality issues across various domains and collaborate with business and IT teams to resolve them.

• Define and apply data quality rules, monitor KPIs, and document controls to support continuous improvement.

• Participate in data cleaning and enrichment initiatives to enhance the value and usability of company data.

• Contribute to the documentation of metadata, definitions, and quality indicators in the Data Directory, ensuring accessibility for internal stakeholders.

• Work closely with subject matter experts and regional data correspondents to raise awareness and foster a strong data quality culture.

• Support the animation of the data community through active participation in meetings, workshops, and governance forums.

• Support internal and external audits related to data quality.

• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Actuarial teams to ensure consistent and reliable reporting aligned with Solvency II requirements.

• Manage and maintain reference data and BC Currency referentials, ensuring alignment with group standards.

• Use SAS Guide and SQL Developer to query databases, investigate anomalies, and deliver structured analyses.

• Define and document business requirements for data quality controls, KPIs, and dashboards.

• Synthesize complex information and prepare clear, impactful presentations for stakeholders and management committees. 

• Maintain documentation such as control repositories, business glossaries, and reference frameworks to support governance.

• Contribute to data projects by bringing both business understanding and technical data expertise.

• Actively contribute to the Data Community by federating stakeholders and promoting a data quality culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Analysis, Finance, Engineering, or Business School.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Quality, Business Analysis, or Financial Reporting.

• Strong knowledge of SAS Guide and SQL Developer; proficiency in Excel.

• Familiarity with BC Currency, reference data management, and regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II.

• Experience working with Finance, Actuarial, and Risk indicators is highly appreciated.

• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to structure and simplify complex topics.

• Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to prepare high-quality deliverables for senior stakeholders.

• Leadership and interpersonal skills to engage, federate, and collaborate with diverse teams.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
