Job DescriptionResponsible for input into the development and implementation of the data quality and reporting strategy as well as remediation strategies. Responsible for monitoring all operational efforts to remediate data across business units. Ensures consistency of use of the data quality artefacts across the relevant business units.
QualificationsEducational Requirements:
- First Degree in Information Technology or related studies
Experience Requirements
- 3-4 years Data management experience with knowledge of data quality.
- An understanding of data quality management relating to financial services data.
- 3-4 years Knowledge of systems and data principles that form the basis for data quality management.
- Project management experience as well as exposure to governance and regulatory matters as they relate to data.
Essential Outputs:
- Assist in the enforcing and embedding approved governance principles and policies. Escalate any data element governance violations. Participate in and adhere to I.T. Production change governance requirements.
- Develops data quality monitoring dashboards.
- Enables extraction of data from disparate systems for profiling and comparison. Ensures that daily, weekly and monthly profiling is fully automated in the chosen toolsets.
- Ensures timely and accurate reporting as it relates to data remediation efforts.
- Executes against the defined data standards and business rules for data capture and usage and manages them appropriately in partnership with the Data Stewards and business stakeholders.
- Executes against the defined governance process to manage the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of these business rules.
