About us:

For over 20 years, F5 has been the industry leader in application delivery. Now, we’re helping our customers improve the performance and security of their applications, whether in the cloud or at the edge. F5 is the only company on the planet that powers applications from development through their entire lifecycle, enabling our customers—enterprise businesses, service providers, governments, and consumer brands—to deliver differentiated, high-performing, and secure digital experiences to their customers. Accurate and reliable data is a critical enabler in achieving this goal.

We are seeking an experienced Data Steward II to join our Enterprise Data Management team, working closely with business partners across the company globally. You will support data quality initiatives, with a primary focus on quality analysis, managing customer hierarchies, and executing data change requests and performing necessary data entry in our core domains. Secondary responsibilities include proactively contributing enterprise data quality reporting, monitoring, and project efforts. This role directly supports globally distributed, cross-functional business stakeholders in Core Data and Data Quality management activities. Our Data Quality team also collaborates closely with the broader EDM team to support Data Governance and Metadata efforts.

•    Maximize the value of data assets by contributing to the development of data quality rules, metrics, and thresholds that support critical business processes.

•    Support the resolution of data anomalies through data profiling, validation checks, and root cause analysis.

•    Gain stakeholder buy-in for process improvements and issue-resolution efforts by preparing and presenting quality analysis findings and actionable recommendations.

•    Identify missing or incorrect data via defined processes, reports, or tools, and initiate appropriate corrective actions or escalations to drive resolution.

•    Contribute continuous improvement of data management processes by identifying patterns in data issues, sharing recommendations, supporting (and when appropriate, leading) the development of new processes, reports, or tools.

•    Serve as an ambassador for Enterprise Data by sharing knowledge and promoting best practices for data usage across teams.

•    Cultivate trust and build expertise in company data and systems through ongoing collaboration with enterprise Process Owners, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Analysts, and Functional Data Stewards.

•    Act as a peer-to-peer coach by mentoring and onboarding new team members to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and team readiness.

•    Actively partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and provide subject matter expertise on core (master) data in both day-to-day operations and project contexts.

•    Take ownership of operational tasks and provide team support, including ensuring adequate out-of-office coverage as needed.
