Looking for your next career opportunity within Data Governance, where you can expand your critical data expertise in a fintech organisation?

Join us in building a new data capability in Markets

At Saxo, we are building the Markets Data Office as part of the Data Governance Programme. The function is structured across four domain areas Products, Operations, Counterparty Risk, and Market Risk reflecting how critical data is used across Markets.

As a Data Portfolio Analyst, you will work within one of these domain areas and help improve how critical data is defined, monitored, and controlled. Your work will contribute to establishing consistent ways of working across the Markets Data Office, while supporting domain-specific needs. While your focus will be within a specific domain area, you will operate as part of a single Markets Data Office with shared standards, tooling, and governance practices.

This is an opportunity to join early, shape how we work, and make a real impact on how data is governed at scale.

What you will do

You will work close to business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards, and technology teams to improve the quality and governance of critical data within your assigned domain area. Depending on the domain, this may include data such as instrument reference data, market data, price data, custody information, election data, trades, positions, margin utilisation, or model data.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and document Critical Data Attributes (CDAs) and support the governance of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) in your domain area
  • Analyse data to assess quality, identify issues, and support root cause investigations
  • Define and maintain data definitions, rules, thresholds, and supporting documentation used in monitoring and control activities
  • Contribute to ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and fit for business use
  • Monitor quality outputs, track remediation activities, and escalate blockers where data issues are not being resolved
  • Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and stakeholders across business and technology
  • Support the implementation of data governance practices and controls

A key part of the role is ensuring that documentation is clear, structured, and maintainable, enabling transparency and consistency across the organisation.

Who you are

We are looking for someone who is structured, curious, and motivated to work with data in a business context:

  • Experience in data analysis, data quality, or a related field
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to understand data in the context of business processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to produce clear and structured documentation
  • Experience with SQL or similar tools is an advantage
  • Experience with Great Expectation or Databricks is an advantage

What we offer

  • The opportunity to help build a new data function from the ground up
  • Exposure to key business domains and critical data flows
  • A collaborative and learning-focused environment
  • A role where your work directly improves decision-making and operational quality

You will join Markets Data Office in the early stages of its journey, where your role will grow alongside the organisation. This means exposure to new challenges, increasing responsibility, and the opportunity to shape how data is managed across the business.
