Looking for your next career opportunity within Data Governance, where you can expand your critical data expertise in a fintech organisation?

Drive data quality and governance in Markets

At Saxo, we are building the Markets Data Office as part of the Data Governance Programme. The function is structured across four domain areas Products, Operations, Counterparty Risk, and Market Risk to strengthen how critical data is controlled and used across trading, operations, and risk.

As a Senior Data Portfolio Analyst, you will take a leading role within one of these domain areas. You will help translate governance standards into practical execution, while contributing to the overall way of working across the Markets Data Office. While your focus will be within a specific domain area, you will operate as part of a single Markets Data Office with shared standards, tooling, and governance practices.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong data expertise with business understanding particularly within financial services or markets-related domains.

What you will do

You will play a central role in the Markets Data Office and take responsibility for data quality and governance within a defined domain area. You will help establish how critical data is described, controlled, monitored, and improved in practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the identification and prioritisation of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and Critical Data Attributes (CDAs) in your domain
  • Define data quality requirements, thresholds, and tolerances, and translate them into workable controls and monitoring
  • Drive investigation and remediation of complex data issues across systems, journeys, and stakeholder groups
  • Act as a key partner to business and technology stakeholders on prioritisation, control design, and governance adoption
  • Ensure documentation, control evidence, and governance artefacts are clear enough to support transparency, auditability, and ongoing reporting
  • Help shape the operating model of the new Markets Data Office by building repeatable ways of working across your portfolio area

The role requires strong ownership of documentation and governance artefacts, ensuring transparency, auditability, and consistency across the data landscape.

Who you are

You bring both technical data expertise and strong business understanding:

  • Experience in data governance, data quality, data models or advanced data analysis
  • Experience within financial services, markets, or risk domains is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of how data supports business processes and outcomes
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive initiatives end-to-end
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex data issues into clear insights and actions
  • Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail
  • You are comfortable working close to data quality tooling, metadata/catalogue capabilities, and technical teams responsible for implementing controls
  • Technical skills (SQL, Python; Databricks, Great Expectation or similar platforms are a plus)

What we offer

  • A key role in building a scalable, enterprise data governance capability
  • The opportunity to work close to critical business processes and decision-making
  • Ownership of meaningful, high-impact data initiatives
  • A collaborative environment where your expertise shapes how we work
