    Collaborate with the Privacy Manager and compliance teams to ensure adherence to data privacy laws and regulations. Assist in policy enforcement and ensure that all departments comply with established data governance standards.
  • Periodic Reviews and Audits:
    Conduct regular audits and reviews of data governance policies to assess their relevance, effectiveness, and compliance. Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to update policies based on new laws, regulations, and business needs.
  • Training and Support:
    Provide training to business users, data stewards, and other key stakeholders on data governance policies, their importance, and how to comply with them. Offer ongoing support to teams as they implement policies in day-to-day operations.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify and address risks related to data governance, including data breaches, loss, and non-compliance with regulatory standards. Support the Issues Manager in resolving policy-related data issues.
  • Policy Enforcement and Reporting:
    Work with the Data Governance Leader and IT/Data Alignment Manager to enforce policies across projects and report any non-compliance issues. Assist in developing dashboards and KPIs to track policy adherence and report results to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Legal Studies, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in data governance, data policy management, or legal compliance roles.
  • Strong understanding of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and telecommunications industry regulations.
  • Experience with drafting and implementing data governance policies in a complex organizational environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex policies to technical and non-technical teams.
  • Knowledge of data governance tools and frameworks (e.g., BigID, Securiti.ai, Informatica).
  • Legal or compliance background in data privacy, retention, and protection is highly desirable.
