Vonage has established a Data Governance Office (DGO) to drive and maintain effective data governance across the organization. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Steward Lead to join this team. This role will be crucial in ensuring compliance with data governance policies and leading the management of data quality across the enterprise. The role will report to the Data Governance Lead.
Your key responsibilities- Data Stewardship Framework: Support the implementation of a data stewardship framework that defines responsibilities, and processes for managing data quality and compliance.
- Data Quality Management: Define and maintain data quality standards—such as accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness—while establishing metrics, monitoring performance, identifying issues, and leading remediation efforts through data cleansing, standardization, and validation.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct data governance training and awareness programs to promote data stewardship and improve data literacy across the organization.
- Communication Regularly communicate with data users regarding data quality and standards.
- Mentoring Mentor Data Stewards across business data domains.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data stewardship practices.
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining data stewardship frameworks.
- Ability to define and implement data quality standards and monitor data quality performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge and experience with data governance tools and technologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Require experience with at least one data governance technology: Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, Purview, Data World, Precisely, Alex Solutions, Ataccama, DataGalaxy, or Ovaledge
