Job overview: We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own and evolve our end-to-end data infrastructure. You will design, build, and operate scalable analytics platforms that support both batch and real-time streaming workloads on AWS.
Key responsibilities:
Data Infrastructure
- Own and optimize Apache Doris as our primary OLAP data warehouse
- Design efficient schemas, partitioning strategies, and storage architectures
- Build and maintain robust batch pipelines orchestrated with Apache Airflow
- Develop and operate streaming ingestion pipelines using Apache Kafka
- Ensure strong data reliability, lineage visibility, and quality enforcement
- Implement incremental ingestion and Change Data Capture (CDC) strategies
Analytics & BI
- Manage and optimize dashboards in Apache Superset
- Improve query performance, concurrency, and workload management
- Enable scalable self-service analytics for internal teams
Cloud & DevOps
- Containerize services using Docker
- Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and operate workloads on Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed clusters)
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Build monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
- Optimize cost-performance across storage and compute layers
Scalability & Reliability
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery readiness
- Design systems with strong failure isolation and operational resilience
- Automate operational workflows to reduce manual overhead
Collaboration & Data Solutions
- Analyze vehicle and customer data to support Digital Twin initiatives and smart mobility services
- Deliver dashboards and predictive reports for solutions
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and analytics stakeholders
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Platform Engineering
- Strong SQL expertise and solid distributed systems fundamentals
- Production experience with at least one OLAP system (e.g., Doris, ClickHouse, Redshift, Snowflake)
- Hands-on experience operating Kafka in production environments
- Strong experience designing Airflow DAGs with proper failure handling
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Deep understanding of idempotency, backfills, and data reliability best practices
